New Sneakers, Finally!
About three years ago, I got a pair of the Nike Free 5.0 TR Fit 4 (yeah, that’s the full name of the shoe!) to wear for my cardio and strength workouts. I loved, loved, loved them so check out my review of those shoes here. But after three years of almost daily use, I was definitely due for a fresh new pair of sneakers. Enter the Nike Flex!
I went back to my local Dick’s Sporting Goods and once again enter SNEAKERTOPIA! (BTW- Dick’s was founded in my very own hometown of Binghamton, NY!) This store is seriously AMAZING!! They always have a huge selection of styles and colors… I wanted them all! No Kelly- stay focused, you came in to buy ONE new pair of training shoes.
I went to the “Training” section in hopes of finding something similar to my Nike Frees but maybe a little different, you know, switch it up! I saw the newer models of the Nike Frees but wasn’t quite sold on the color options. Then I came across the Nike Flex TR 7‘s and knew right away, this is it! These shoes are lightweight, adaptive, and flexible, perfect for gym workouts, group fitness, cardio, and core. Plus the Nike Flex is priced a little lower than the Free, so that was an added bonus!
Almost the entire shoe is a lightweight mesh material which lets your feet breathe instead of getting all hot and sweaty! The outsole is also super flexible, similar to the Nike Free, to allow for a natural range of motion during your workout.
After training in them for the past month, I have to say that I love them as much as I loved my last pair! The comfort and flexibility are awesome, and they also just look really cool. It’s tough to say which I prefer, Nike Free or Nike Flex, they’re both amazing training shoes, so you can’t go wrong with either style!
