Fire Up the BBQ for the BEST Chicken Marinade!

Two words: Summer BBQ. Move over hot dogs and hamburgers, and get ready for the juiciest grilled chicken you’ve ever had! This easy chicken marinade recipe is going to quickly become your favorite go-to marinade. Ever grill chicken and it ends up being so dry that you need to drown it in BBQ sauce just so it’s edible? Not this time! This marinade keeps the chicken incredibly juicy and produces so much delicious flavor.

This chicken is perfect for a summer dinner, served with a fresh green salad and corn on the cob. Healthy food never tasted so good! And if you have leftovers, this chicken will still be juicy two days later and tastes great sliced up on top of a salad or inside a wrap for a healthy lunch.

I recommend that you marinate the chicken for at least 4 hours, but you can do it up to 24 hours to get maximum flavor and deliciousness- the longer the better! But if you don’t have a lot of time and hungry mouths are waiting, you can marinate for as few as 30 minutes and your chicken will still taste phenomenal.

Here is the Recipe for this Delicious Chicken Marinade:

You will need:
6 chicken breasts (about 3.5 lb. chicken)
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup balsamic vinegar
1/4  cup Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup soy sauce
1/8 cup lemon juice
3/4 cup brown sugar
2 Tbsp. Dijon mustard
2 tsp. dried rosemary
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. black pepper

Here’s what to do:

Combine all ingredients, except for chicken, in a large mixing bowl or glass measuring cup and whisk together. Remove 1/2 cup of marinade and reserve for basting the chicken later.

Place chicken in a large Ziploc bag and pour marinade over the top. Close securely and massage chicken so marinade coats evenly. Marinate for at least 4 hours and up to 24 hours.

To Grill: Preheat grill to medium high heat. Remove the chicken from the marinade, letting excess drip off. Grill chicken for 5 to 6 minutes on each side or until cooked through.

Baste the chicken occasionally with the reserved marinade. Remove chicken from grill and cover loosely with a foil tent. Let chicken rest for at least 5 minutes before serving.

Optional: Bring the reserved marinade to a boil and let simmer until slightly reduced. Use as a sauce to go on top of the chicken.
